Does meat cause colon cancer?

WHO report published in 2005 warned that red meat likely leads to colon cancer

Analyzing the report you see that many studies supporting the above conclusion were eliminated

Most of the studies used were epidemiological, which lump meat eaters with people who eat junk food, smoke and are sedentary

Many rat studies, but rats are not naturally meat eaters

Human studies showing increased rates of mutations in colon with meat intake, does not correlate with cancer risk

On the other hand: Known risk factors for cancer such as Insulin resistance, obesity, visceral fat and certain autoimmune diseases are cured by a meat-based diet

The answer is NO. Meat does not cause colon cancer, in fact it might even be protective against it.
